Pietro a Majella, the Cristo Velato of Sammartino in the chapel Sansevero a masterpiece of the architecture of 1700.

NAPLES – CASERTA
8:30 Am Transfer to Caserta - Guided tour of Royal Palace of Caserta and its Park and Gardens
Built to rival Versailles, the Royal Palace of Caserta is the most beautiful Palace in Europe, it surpassed it in elegance and style. Designed by Luigi Vanvitelli for King Charles the Bourbon of Naples, who later became Carlos III of Spain, leaving his throne to his son Ferdinando, it has over 1200 rooms and had 2 miles long gardens decorated with fountains adorned by statues inspired by classical mythology.
1:00 PM Transfer to Casertavecchia —the old medieval town of Caserta
1:30 PM Lunch in Casertavecchia
The centre of Caserta in the Middle Ages, Casertavecchia is an enchanting medieval village on the slope of the Tifatini Mountains, 4 km northeast of Caserta.
3:00 PM Transfer to Naples - guided tour of San Gennaro Catacombs and the Rione Sanitá
The Catacombs of San Gennaro are arranged on two levels that are not superimposed, both characterised by much larger spaces than the more famous Roman catacombs. This is due to the workability and strength of the tuff. The original nucleus of the Catacombs of San Gennaro dates back to the 2nd century AD. It was probably the tomb of a noble family, who then provided spaces for the Christian community. The expansion began in the 4th century AD following the deposition of the remains of St. Agrippinus, the first patron of Naples, to the underground basilica dedicated to him. It consists of a single nave dug out of the tuff, which still preserves a bishop's chair carved into the rock and the altar with an opening, in which the faithful could see and touch the saint's tomb. Followed by the Tour of The Holy Mile A mile-long route to discover the treasures of Rione Sanità
The Holy Mile (the Miglio Sacro) is a sacred, one-mile-long itinerary, from the tomb of St. Gennaro to his Treasure. This journey of discovery was reopened in 2006 for Naples and Neapolitans, as well as for visitors and tourists from all around the world.
The tour explores Rione Sanità, a district once inhabited by numerous peoples and cultures, from African to Chinese. When crossing the neighbourhood today, the mixture of sounds, colours, and faces confirms that diversity is still at home here. The streets preserve memories of coaches with Popes, kings, and cardinals, from more prosperous times. The churches, more than mere prodigious galleries for worship, provide a place of rest, peace and desire for a better life. To “experience” the Holy Mile means to support the revival of Rione Sanità by affirming its long history and inner chaotic beauty. Welcome to meeting a place where humanism either dies or becomes humanity!
6:30 Pm Return to Hotel, time to relax.
7:30 transfer to Restaurant for dinner Palazzo Petrucci, Posillipo
Palazzo Petrucci in Naples: a stellar restaurant that surprises the Michelin Guide
Palazzo Petrucci has the best view of the Gulf of Naples. Located on the beach of Posillipo Bay, it is nestled between Mount Vesuvius, the island of Capri, and the Donn’Anna Palace. A breathtaking panorama accompanies the enchantment of a refined cuisine born from the gastronomic tradition of a city that cherishes authentic flavours. Fish, meat, and seasonal vegetables are the ingredients that enhance the sea and land dishes on our menu.

Founded in the 7th Century B.C, Pompeii is of great interest for historians. It is said that while Rome gives an insight into the monumental architecture of the Romans, Pompeii illustrates their everyday life. Pompeii had been a Roman colony since 80BC & prospered with the construction of many large temples, villas & palaces until 63AD, when it was devastated by an earthquake.
The city had been largely rebuilt when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD & buried the whole city under several layers of molten lava & ash. Approximately two thousand inhabitants were suffocated by the acrid smoke of the eruption & participants will be able to view many of the surviving bodies, frozen in the positions in which they died.
