DAY ONE – PALERMO

After a private transfer from the airport to the hotel, you will have time to settle in, before heading out for an introductory
walking tour of Palermo, discovering the amazing street food along the way. 
Starting at Vucciria Market and Mercato di Capo, two colourful outdoor markets. Learn about Sicily’s culinary history through the street food scene, as the local vendors promote their unique food.
Visit the neighborhood bakeries, cafes and street food stalls and try a variety of famous Sicilian street snacks.


DAY TWO - PALERMO  

Enjoy a full day of site seeing, including the amazing sites of Massimo Vittorio Emanuele Theatre, the famous Palermo Cathedral, Pretoria Square and much more. With an amazing lunch to taste authentic Sicilian food.  Visit the mysterious and unique underground cemetery of the Capuchin monks, a macabre spectacle that brings out the uses, customs and traditions of the Palermo society from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century.  After visiting the Catacombs, head off to the Cathedral of Monreale, once part of a self-sufficient, fortified complex that included a Royal Palace, an Episcopate and an abbey.


DAY THREE – PALERMO to AGRIGENTO

Leave Palermo after Breakfast, visit Segesta Ruins and Selinunte, travel to Agrigento Dinner at Hotel

Visit the beautiful Segesta, an archaeological wonder. A Site that has gone through many different eras, from the native Sicilians to Normans, it has a unique arrange of history.

After, Selinunte. This is one of Sicily's great Greek archaeological sites. As there has been lack of later development, the site will show the ancient town of Selinus as it would have been two and a half thousand years ago.

Have time to relax and settle in to your room before evening dinner.


DAY FOUR – AGRIGENTO

Admire the views of the Sicilian landscape as you travel toward the town of Agrigento. The Ancient Greek city is a UNESCO-listed archaeological digs, known as the Valley of the Temples.

The heart of the archeological site of Agrigento is the area of the magnificent temples. One of the biggest Greek temples was that of the Temple of Zeus, with only the ruins of the foundations and principal altar remaining.


DAY FIVE – AGRIGENTO to TAORMINA

After breakfast, leave the hotel in a private vehicle to travel onward to Piazza Armerina, the town that’s home to Villa Romana del Casale. The villa is one of the most luxurious of its kind. It is especially noteworthy for the richness and quality of the mosaics which decorate almost every room. Taormina is a picturesque small town perched on a slope high above the Ionian Sea on the eastern coast of Sicily. It's rich in history, art, culture and tradition and located in one of the most breathtaking spots of the whole country. You'll get to see, the Ancient Greek Theatre, A symbol of Taormina, it offers one of the island’s best known postcard views – the spectacle of the Ionic coast framed by the ruins of the theatre’s backdrop structure.


DAY SIX – TAORMINA

Leisure day or optional Mount Etna excursion.

Set in the middle of a national park, the notoriously active volcano, Mount Etna dominates the landscape.

Step out at Rifugio Sapienza, the volcano’s base station. From there, head up to the volcano by cable car. Weather permitting, the cable cars run all day and prices include a minibus from the cable car station to the main crater. Discover and soak up incredible views of the national park on an active volcano.


DAY SEVEN – TAORMINA

Leisure day or optional excursion to Syracuse.

Syracuse is a timeless beauty, with amazing remnants of its long history, with Ancient Greek ruins, dazzling baroque piazzas, and medieval lanes. One of the ancient Greek’s most important cities, this was the largest city in the ancient world.

Across the water from the mainland, Ortygia remains the city's most beautiful corner. Ortygia Island (also called Città Vecchia or Old City) is the site of many of the main attractions, including the seventh-century cathedral and the Fountain of Arethusa.


DAY EIGHT

Private transport back to the airport.
