The Vatican Museums: the complete series

In this series of virtual guided tours, we will explore in detail one of the most famous and complex collections in the world. The Vatican Museums which include more than 20 separate collections, spanning nearly ten thousand years: from 8 millennia BC vases from the middle east to XX century art, displayed in over 8 km of galleries (5 miles) and about 300 rooms.

Painting is one of the main arts represented in the Vatican Collections and we will explore the various galleries and the several masterpieces in its collections, including frescoed chapels beside the Sistine Chapel, the Borgia Apartments with frescoes by Pinturicchio, the several series of Tapestries and the Frescoed Galleries like the Gallery of Maps. 

Vol II: Raphael in the Vatican  - Virtual Guided Tour 

Raffaello Sanzio worked in the Vatican for a large part of his life so we will explore his work in detail from the Rooms of Raphael to the Loggias which set a new standard in architecture and frescoed decoration and the few masterpieces that Raphael produced in the Vatican or that are today kept There.

VOL III: Masterpiece of the Antiquity The Collections of Ancient Sculptures

The Collections of Ancient art for the Bulk of the Vatican Collections, divided into several distinct ones contributed to fuel the ideas and models for the Renaissance and the Neoclassical styles. From Egyptian art, to Palmira, from Etruscan to Roman art we will also explore the various objects and artifacts including roman frescoes, pottery, Christian artifacts and many other hidden gems from antiquity.

Vol IV: Vatican Gardens, Marvels, and Curiosities 

“it’s good to be the Pope” and indeed some of the fantastic features of the Vatican Gardens, the Carriage Pavilion, and other lesser-known sectors will make you think so. We’ll explore in detail the Vatican City, its gardens, the collection that includes several carriages and cars, as well as the stamps collection, the Library and all that makes a visit to the Vatican really complete with a number of important features too often overlooked by many.
