Tibur Superbum: The Tivoli Gardens of Villa D’Este - Virtual Experience 

The Villa D’Este is a magnificent late Renaissance villa built by the architect Pirro Ligorio for the Cardinal D’Este, Lucretia Borgia’s son. Not influential enough to become a Pope, the Cardinal created, on the outskirts of Rome, what is probably the most beautiful gardens of the entire Italian renaissance. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site the Villa was always a highlight of the Grand Tour travelers, and still today a visit to Rome it’s not complete without touring this authentic gem.

We will virtually explore the Gardens and the Beautiful Fountains, before discovering the complex narrative behind the XVI century frescoes of the Palace, aiming at glorifying Tivoli and the d'Este Family.
