Embark on a spiritual odyssey beginning along the storied Appian Way, at the catacombs of San Sebastiano, a sacred site where it's believed Saint Paul once worshipped. Our journey then leads to the intimate Quo Vadis Church, where Saint Peter is said to have encountered the Lord, posing the poignant question, "Quo Vadis, Domine?"— "Where are you going, Lord?" in Latin.
Next, we'll visit the Church of Saint Peter in Chains, home to the very chains that once bound him in prison. In the Church of Santa Francesca Romana, located by the Roman Forum, marvel at a piece of cobblestone etched with the prints left by Saint Peter as he prayed during his confrontation with Simon the Magician, who was infamous for "selling" miracles.
Our pilgrimage continues to the Catacombs of Priscilla, the site of what is believed to be the very first baptism in Rome, before culminating in the majestic Saint Peter’s Square.
Finally, we'll discover the serene Convento delle Tre Fontane, where tradition holds that Saint Paul was martyred. Today, this tranquil religious complex is nestled amidst fragrant eucalyptus trees and ancient olive groves, offering a perfect place for reflection and peace.
